Vocalist Sarah Hayes Celebrates the Music of Artie Shaw
Vocalist Sarah Hayes will pay tribute to the legendary big band leader and composer Artie Shaw at New York’s Kitano Jazz Club on Friday, September 11. She’ll be performing some of Shaw’s biggest hits like Stardust, Deep Purple and Begin the Beguine as well as lesser-known chestnuts like Moonglow, Any Old Time and Love of My Life.

NEA Jazz Master and percussionist Airto Moreira has teamed up with daughter, Diana Booker, and son-in-law, Krishna Booker (son of the late, legendary bassist Walter Booker) and their band to form Eyedentity, which integrates jazz, hip-hop, neo-soul and rare grooves. The group’s name was adopted from Moreira’s 1975 album, Identity.
